About the Company
We are a fast-growing ClimateTech startup pioneering a breakthrough electrochemical carbon capture technology to remove CO₂ from industrial emissions and ambient air.
Our modular, solvent-free and heat-free solution will enable delivering gigaton-scale CO₂ removal by 2040 using low-cost, mass-manufacturable materials.
As we scale up toward commercialization, we are seeking an excellent executioner to lead the next phase of our core technology development.
Role Overview
The Head of R&D holds a central leadership position responsible for:
• Executing the company’s R&D plan, responsible for planning and
delivering key milestones
• Managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of scientists,
engineers and technicians
• Driving the development, validation, and scale-up of electrochemical
systems and materials
• Interfacing with product, engineering, operations and the customers
Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead the company’s cross-disciplinary R&D team
• Oversee design, execution, and analysis of experiments and system
validation
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and manufacturing to support
pilot and commercial deployment
• Stay up to date on trends in electrochemistry, DAC, and related climate
technologies
Job requirements
Requirements
• Education: MSc or PhD in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering,
Materials Science, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in relevant technological domains,
including: Materials development; Coating processes; Electrode
fabrication; Ink or slurry formulation; Electrochemical systems or related
energy technologies
• Minimum 5 years of R&D leadership roles

• A team player with strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects and deliver
results
• Excellent verbal and written communication
